Wenchi Agric College is one of the institutions in the country operating under the Ministry of Food and Agriculture. Its institutional founding was grounded in a commitment to innovation in training delivery in the agricultural value chain for learners, practicing and prospective farmers. The Institutes strives constantly to sustain and enhance its quality and relevance of training delivery in the agricultural value chain for economic development.
Historically, Wenchi Farm Institute, now Wenchi Agric College, was established on 17th January, 1964 – some 58 years ago. Its mandate then was to train the youth in Vocational Agriculture to feed the Ministry of Agriculture and related organisations in the capacity of technical officers and Farm Assistants.
